Recently two companies we heavily utilize to support our customers were purchased by the same investment group Thoma Bravo. Months later it was announced that those two companies would be merging together. That’s great news for us here at DRN ReadiTech, as both companies will have the opportunity to expand on their upsides which coincidentally to me is the others’ weak spot.
The two companies I am talking about are ConnectWise and Continuum. These two companies are pillars in the Managed Service market and their products and offerings have most definitely impacted the market. Both companies and their offerings play a huge part in ReadiTech’s ability to manage and provide quality service to our customers. This merger now allows ReadiTech tools to improve our management and documentation of your environment and services. It also gives us more support in being proactive to issues that may arise on your workstations.
ConnectWise is our customer management software which includes all the information about your business as well as all the agreements, service request and products you have purchased from us. Continuum is our remote monitoring software. It is agent-based and we put agents on your workstations and servers to monitor their health and patching as well as troubleshoot when you call in with issues.
So aside from what ReadiTech provides, how does this merger directly affect you as the customer? First thing first – your data is now managed by one entity. With the merger comes the infrastructure so now your business data and your workstation data are managed under the same structure. The next big thing is improved business from us, ReadiTech, your service provider. We will be able to resolve issues faster.
This merger was announced last month so we aren’t yet to the point of both ConnectWise and Continuum being fully integrated, but once we get there it will be great improvements for everyone involved.
