Here’s a million-dollar question …. How important is customer service to you?  I ask that because many times we are caught up with delivering a product or sharing an opportunity and forget the critical importance to your business of offering not okay, not good, but stellar customer service – a crucial aspect to any business success!

Often, we don’t think of the importance of this feature or how easy it is to give.  We believe that by providing a service, installing a product purchased, getting a business up and running is the most important piece of the puzzle.  The customer has asked, and you’ve delivered.  Done deal.  But, is it really a done deal?

Truth to be told, what’s critical to any business…one that is overlooked by many but so very important, is customer service.  It’s developing a relationship with each client you serve and getting to know their business inside and out.  It’s being able to provide recommendations for their business success today as well as in the future.   For me, it’s following one of my favorite quotes of Theodore Roosevelt – “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Is that true for your business?

Again, by providing top-notch customer service, businesses can recoup customer acquisition costs and cultivate a loyal customer base who will then refer family, friends, neighbors or even an acquaintance.  You’ve cultivated a relationship with a valued customer who may also agree to write a testimonial because they truly believe you are providing the best solution for them.

They value you…. because you value their thoughts, their business and their success.

Plus, I believe we can all agree, happy customers are more understanding when things break, a gopher chews through a fiber, they lose services, equipment fails and more.  Statistics show great customer service encourages clients to remain loyal even if the price is more.

We all must remember that the customer service we offer represents our brand image, our mission and our values.
