General Summary:

The Marketing Specialist role offers broad exposure to all aspects of our operation and will provide marketing, graphics, and design assistance in addition to local public relations and marketing services to meet the needs of the communities we serve.  We are seeking a self-confident, energetic, and ambitious leader to participate in this exciting growth. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate various integrated marketing communications and activities
  • Create content for company publications such as customer newsletters, employee newsletters, annual reports, and directories.
  • Coordinate creation of digital marketing
  • Perform market and industry research
  • Participates at Public Relations events as assigned
  • Assists with advertisements and promotions as assigned
  • Responsible for coordinating exhibits and conducting internal learning sessions and webinars as applicable.
  • Responsible for attending departmental meetings, presenting updates as warranted, and conducting follow-up as needed.
  • Responsible for researching industry trends to keep current with communication practices and tactics.
  • Responsible for regular internal communications including e-mail and other professional correspondence. A high degree of accuracy is required for communication between all parties.
  • Assist with general administrative marketing support duties.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, products and services.
  • Knowledge of communications, Internet, video, managed IT services, and wireless industries helpful.
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales practices and principles.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience initiating and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suites
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill to write original material, edit, proofread, and finalize written material.
  • Skill to proficiently operate a personal computer and related software as well as various design programs.
  • Ability to create and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or related field.

Prior digital marketing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Seeing: Must be able to identify by sight maintenance needs on buildings and grounds. Must be able to drive vehicle and operate other machinery such as mowers/trimmers.  75 – 100%

Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers and business contacts.  75 – 100%

Standing/Walking:  0 – 24%

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0 – 24%

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0 – 24%

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use phone system. 75-100%

Working Conditions:
This factor measures the surroundings or physical conditions under which a job must be done and the extent to which those conditions make the job disagreeable. Consider the presence and relative amount of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, wetness, etc.

Good working conditions with the absence of disagreeable conditions.
